About StopMySwelling

Specialized Care for Chronic Swelling

StopMySwelling is a specialized healthcare practice dedicated to helping people living with lymphedema, lipedema, and chronic swelling. Our approach combines clinical expertise, personalized treatment, and compassionate support to help each patient better manage their condition and improve their comfort, mobility, and quality of life.

Why StopMySwelling Exists

Living with chronic swelling can be frustrating, uncomfortable, and difficult to navigate. Many people spend years searching for answers, managing symptoms on their own, or trying to find care that truly understands their experience.

StopMySwelling was created to provide a more specialized and patient-centered approach. Our goal is to give people living with lymphedema and lipedema access to knowledgeable care, practical treatment options, and a team that takes the time to understand their individual needs.

Care That Starts With You

No two patients experience chronic swelling in exactly the same way. That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

At StopMySwelling, care begins with understanding each patient’s condition, concerns, lifestyle, and goals. We use our specialized knowledge to develop an individualized approach designed around the person, not simply the diagnosis.

Our focus is on helping patients understand their options, take an active role in their care, and move toward greater comfort, confidence, and mobility.

Meet Our Specialists

Dr. Abby’s path to lymphatic health started in 2021 when she shadowed Dr. Jillian Meyer as a PT student. That experience opened her eyes to how much lymphatic health impacts everyday life, and she hasn’t looked back since.

With 5 years of experience as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and even more time in practice as a licensed massage and bodywork therapist, Dr. Abby has worked with patients across a wide range of care settings, from home health to skilled nursing facilities to outpatient clinics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2014 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University in 2021.

Her dual training gives her a deeper understanding of how the body moves, compensates, and heals. That combination translates directly into better care for patients managing lymphedema, lipedema, and chronic swelling.

Dr. Abby now sees patients virtually through StopMySwelling, bringing that same hands-on knowledge and clinical eye to every consultation.

When she is not seeing patients, you will find her with her two horses Teddy and Henry, her dogs Trinket and Wallace, and her cats Aster, Violet, and Jasmine.
